I began an internship with Outlaw Crossfit (formerly Crossfit Alexandria) back in May 2008. This internship was a requirement to fulfill my Exercise Science degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. It wasn’t long before I found a comfortable niche in the Crossfit community, not just as an athlete, but as a coach. I love to see clients accomplish goals that they would not have otherwise reached on their own for whatever reason. In addition to staying on with the Outlaw coaching staff, I also had an opportunity to lead some crossfit groups at Andrews Air Force Base for a couple years, which was a great learning experience for working with large groups. My degree led me to a life of personal training outside of Crossfit as well, but I have always been an advocate for the training principals
Crossfit has, and have been a witness to the strong physical/mental adaptations that it brings to people’s lives. In addition to helping others improve their quality of life through health and fitness, I am also a Firefighter/EMT for Alexandria City.
My ultimate goal for being a trainer at Outlaw Crossfit is to help clients make a positive lifestyle change through instruction, motivation, and example.
